How To Play

How to Play Sevens Card Game

Sevens is a shedding card game where the board grows outward from the seven in each suit. This version supports 4-8 players, smart AI opponents, jokers, and five-round scoring.

Rules

  1. Deal the full deck evenly, including the two jokers.
  2. The player with the 7♠ starts by placing it on the board.
  3. On your turn, play one legal card that extends the same suit upward or downward from a card already on the table.
  4. Spades control the open rank range. Other suits cannot go beyond the ranks that spades have already unlocked.
  5. Jokers can stand in for one missing card during the round. If you still have a joker when the round ends, it counts toward your score like any other card in hand.
  6. If you cannot play, use Need One to take a card from the player on your left, then continue the round.
  7. When a player empties their hand, the round ends. That player scores zero for the round and everyone else scores the cards left in hand.
  8. After five rounds, the lowest total score wins the match.

In this example, spades already run from 6 through 8. That means spades can continue to 5 or 9, and other suits can only use ranks inside the same 6-8 range.
